My wonderful first novel, Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World, was released by Hachette Ireland on March 1, 2013, and by Hachette Canada on May 7, 2013.

Work on my second novel, No Good Reason (working title) is ongoing.  Details will follow when I feel a bit more confident about the final shape it's going to take.

Just because most of this happened months ago…

To start off with, I’m beyond happy to say that Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World has been picked as a top ten choice for the American Library Association’s 2015 Rainbow List. This is a “a bibliography of books with significant gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender content, and which are aimed at youth, birth through age 18” chosen by the Rainbow Books List Committee. I found out several weeks after the announcement had been made.

Nominated News!

News! Here it is:yay

Well, after I got back from the IFOA in Toronto things were quiet for a while. Then a few days before Christmas, Cinnamon Toast got an enthusiastic mention on Liveline with Joe Duffy on Ireland's national radio station, RTE 1. Peter Sheridan reviewed and called it one of his favourite books of the year, and this actually got me more attention in Ireland than almost anything else I'd done here in the way of publicity. Here's a link to the broadcast if you're interested. Peter's review comes approximately five minutes in, but the rest of the egshow is pretty great too.

News for the Summer

Wow! I've been really awful about this monthly update stuff. Better address that right now, dammit.Cinnamon Toast pb cover low res

First of all, behold the cover of the new small paperback edition, featuring Stephen's feet! I love it, myself. This edition also includes questions for book clubs and a Q&A with the author (me!). It'll be available in Ireland and the UK from the first week of September and in Canada from January 2014.

What else does the future hold?

News for Fall

Well, once again, at this point it's more like news from fall, but....BXTLghbCIAAIXsQ

Let's see. The big news for the next few months is that the small paperback version of Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World will be available in Canada in January. Not only does it have a fantastic new cover and a cheaper price, there are also bookclub questions in the back and an interview with...me! (Okay, that part's not so exciting, but I'm very happy with it and hope it'll do well back in my beloved homeland.)

Meanwhile in Ireland...

News for April

Actually it's more like news from April, seeing as it's May already, and some of this Janet E Cameron2information repeats from my scrapbook, so I'll keep it brief.
