My wonderful first novel, Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World, was released by Hachette Ireland on March 1, 2013, and by Hachette Canada on May 7, 2013.

Work on my second novel, No Good Reason (working title) is ongoing.  Details will follow when I feel a bit more confident about the final shape it's going to take.

res-009Well, first of exists! Cinnamon Toast and the End of the World is printed and in stores all over Ireland. I'm overwhelmed. In fact I'm going a bit mad. The book's also a big hit in my apartment, largely because the top of the box provides a pleasant place to sleep for my roommate Jenny the cat. But let's move on.

News for October

So far...

The deadline for the Irish Writers' Centre's Novel Fair Contest is coming up - October 17.  You can read more about it here. Send in your chapters, people. I got a book deal out of it. You could be next.

Also in the news, I'm proud to report that this website has received the full approval and backing of Nettie Morine, otherwise known as my mother. When reached for comment, Nettie elaborated that everything looked 'very nice, dear.'

News for September

I also found out that the book is actually available for pre-order on and  No cover yet, as you can see, and the final edits aren't in place, but still. More proof that this is actually going to happen.

If you'd like to have a look at that press release without going through the links, here it is:
